Peter Pan Continued, 12/4/09

Another Peter Pan Dream

It was weird, it was like we were in a play/movie, and we were figuring out the blocking/lines and all this other stuff. It was almost musical ish xD But it game me some ideas, possibly for Once Upon A Dream.

I was the girl, and idk if I was Wendy, or Sammy again. I do know that we thought we had gotten rid of Captain Hook and that things were okay again. Peter [who was a little older, we were more like 17 than kids], was up on the main deck while I had been further down below. I started making my way up to him, and things seemed… too quiet. I didn’t notice too much, though, and I kept going. All of the sudden, someone grabbed me. I screamed, but they covered my mouth and dragged me away. I realized quickly that it was Hook.

Hook was not like the other pirates that followed him. He was handsome, clean, probably early thirties. He wasn’t that creeper we see in movies, though he was still a cruel man most definitely. He started to tie me up and drag me away, when suddenly Peter shows up.

Peter tries to get him to fight, but he’s holding me and so Peter doesn’t make any rash movements. But then Hook throws me to the ground and pulls out his sword. They begin to fight and at one point they pause and Hook tells him something about coming back to claim his prize, that I am suppose to marry him.

Peter looks back at me and asks, “is this true?”* and I just stare at him helpless. Just then, Hook goes to stab him while he is distracted, but Peter is faster, and turns just in time to stop him, and actually uses Hook’s distraction of trying to stab to his advantage, and ends up stabbing Hook instead.

* Now, I was thinking about this and what if… Sammy, worked with Hook and made him a deal to get back Wendy, because taking Wendy is what went wrong anyway. Hook took Wendy to get back at Peter Pan, believing he loves her, which he does, just not the way Hook thinks. When they got to Hook’s ship again, Sammy had sought out Hook and made a deal with him in order to spare the others -- She would help him fake his death, and then she would come meet him after [like sneak off on a long boat or something], and in turn, he would let Wendy and Peter and all the Lost Boys and everyone go and be okay.

---RANDOM IDEA: maybe Sammy use to be one of his pirates, and she has been being used by Hook all along, to get Wendy and lure in Peter?

He agrees. Most of Hook’s pirates flee when they think Hook has drowned [Peter knocks him into the water, but Sammy had helped him to know where to hide and be safe, where he could get a boat and get away, which she assumes he does] but a few of the wusses stay and “agree to help with the ship” under Peter’s command.

Now, Hook is obviously going back on his deal by showing up. He was suppose to leave, and not hurt anyone. When he grabs Sammy, he says something like, “Do you really think I am that dull, child? That I would actually just… take off into the sea on my own and wait for you?” And he says he is here to take her and to kill Peter, therefore breaking his promise and the deal.

When Peter & Sammy fight, Hook tells Peter how Sammy has been helping him, and helped him now, and that the deal, is that his crew fled to a secret island where he was suppose to go, and she was suppose to meet him, and they were all suppose to be able to live there, free from Never Never Land and Peter Pan. This is when Peter turns to her, and maybe he does get stabbed in the arm or something… dramatic! But then they continue to fight and ultimately Peter wins and Hook is really killed, we get a bloody body and all.

Peter comes over and released Sammy, but says nothing. She tries to get him to stop and listen, but he walks away. She chases after him and insists that he has to at least let her check his wound, as she is good with that sort of thing. He grudgingly agrees.

They go into private quarters where she can dress the wound and what not, and they are mostly silent. While she is wrapping his arm she dares to ask him if she can explain. He grudgingly agrees again.

She explains everything to him. She is just about finished with the dressings and he gets angry and jumps away from her, hitting something. She jumps. He yells at her, and she sits there, taking it and crying a little, knowing he is right. Honestly, she felt she had no choice in the beginning, but then after being stuck on that island with all of them, she admits to falling in love with them all, and wanting to help. That is why she tried to get Hook to agree to the plan where they could escape from Peter and the Lost Boys and the Indians and find a place of their own to rule, not because she was afraid for Hook, but because she was afraid for Peter.

Peter is a bit shocked, and says nothing, turning away as if he isn’t sure if he believes her. The thing is, and they both know it though neither admit it even to themselves, they both are in love with each other.

And we have to be dramatic. Sammy sees that Peter isn’t going to trust her again, even with Hook gone. Sammy says she understands and then she leaves the room.

A short while later, Peter has been thinking alone, and he rushes out and finds some of the Lost Boys, asking them where Sammy is. They point to a small boat that is starting to gain some distance from the main ship, and he sees Sammy is in it. He rushes around some more, though it hurts with his arm, and people are going nuts, asking why Sammy is leaving and what happened to Hook and why his arm is bandaged, just scared and confused. Peter finds Tinkerbell, she sprinkles some of her magic dust on him, and without hesitation, he flies off the ship, headed for Sammy.

When he lands on the boat, Sammy is startled, and a little scared. She asks him what he thought she was doing, and he just smiles at her, a weary, tired, but relieved smile. He tells her that she can’t go, the Lost Boys love her too much, and with Wendy, Michael, and John leaving, who will help him to take care of them?

Sammy tries to smile but she is still weary herself and tells him that they would be better without her, because she only makes trouble even when she tries to help. Peter laughs. Sammy starts to go on a small rant, and suddenly, Peter kisses her. She is a bit startled and jumps back, putting a hand to her lips and staring at him like he is crazy. “What was that for?” she asks in confusion. Peter explains how he feels, and that he wants her to stay. Sammy finally comes around and admits how she feels, too, and they kiss again. They aren’t too far from the main boat, and suddenly they hear howling and clapping, and they see that it is the boys, who can see them, cheering for them. Peter shakes off some of Tinkerbell’s dust onto Sammy, and holds her tight, and they fly back toward the ship.

-FAST FORWARD-

The boys are waving goodbye to Wendy and Michael and John as they fly away and head home, and as they do, Sammy is standing with some of the boys, Peter floating in the air a bit. As they leave their sight, the boys frown. They are sad to see them go, and Sammy hugs a few of them and tells them that things will be okay, and encourages them to get back to the dinner table as there is something wonderful for them to eat. They begin to run off, instantly in a better mood. She smiles and watches, lagging behind though. Peter comes back to the ground, seeming sad, and Sammy smiles understandingly. She tells him that Wendy and the boys will be okay, and that all of them will be okay, too. He takes her hand and agrees, and kisses her cheek. They walk together happily back toward their home. =] <3

NOTES: in Never Never Land, you don’t NEVER age, you just age VERY slowly, like, three times slower than normal people. Peter has always been older than the other boys, and older than Wendy and her brothers. Wendy, Michael, and John were there before, and now Hook has somehow dragged them back [like in Hook] to try and lure out Peter Pan again. Peter is older when Wendy and them return, as are they. She even comments that he seems older, more like 17 than about 13, like when she was last there, when she was about 10. Now they are about the same age, Wendy is maybe a little older. They are back for a second time, and Sammy is the one who helped to bring them back. [needs work] But yeah, they are back again, not a first time.
